Ivrit Discussion Group Children and Adult Groups
Weekly by Zoom on Mondays from 7.30pm-9pm, we meet once a month in a café/restaurant.
Returning on 5th January 2026
We are an intermediate-level, fun and friendly conversation group (chug) in Ivrit for people who can speak the language and want to progress their competence. We are purely a discussion group with no attempt at learning grammar or whatever.
We go round 'the room' with each person leading on an article from that issue of Yanshuf (an Israeli newspaper in somewhat easier Ivrit) or from wherever or just telling us a story. We then discuss what's just been read. We all find Yanshuf to be a very pleasant and interesting newspaper.
Except when translating, we speak only in Ivrit throughout our meetings. Before each meeting you will receive an email with material from the current issue of Yanshuf.
Note: there is an annual charge of £11 for Kinloss members and non-members for 20 issues of the bi-weekly 16-page Yanshuf Israeli newspaper which is in simpler Ivrit and comes with a cribsheet.
